What is Bulk Image Convert?
Convert multiple images at once and download everything as a ZIP archive. It accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF files and gives you a WEBP result you can download straight away. The work happens in your browser tab, so the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers.
How to use Bulk Image Convert
- Select several images at once, or drag a group of files into the drop area.
- Choose the output format (WEBP, JPG or PNG) that you want for all of them.
- Click Convert now and wait while each file is processed.
- Download the results as a single ZIP archive.
Format notes
- JPG: A lossy format that suits photographs and produces small files. It does not support transparency.
- JPEG: The same format as JPG (the two extensions are interchangeable). Best for photos, not for logos or screenshots with sharp text.
- PNG: A lossless format that keeps sharp edges and supports transparency, which makes it a good choice for logos, screenshots and graphics. Photos saved as PNG are often much larger than JPG.
- WEBP: A modern web format that is usually smaller than JPG or PNG at similar quality and supports transparency. Supported by all current major browsers.
- BMP: An old, uncompressed bitmap format. Files are large, so converting BMP to PNG or JPG normally saves a lot of space.
- GIF: A palette-based format limited to 256 colours that can store simple animation. Converting a GIF with this tool uses the first frame as a still image.
Tips for better results
Converting a whole folder at once is quicker, but very large batches use a lot of memory. If the page slows down, convert in smaller groups.
A worked example
You have forty product PNG files to turn into WEBP. Select them all, choose WEBP as the output format, convert, and download one zip containing every converted image.
If something goes wrong
- The page slows down or freezes. Large batches use a lot of memory. Convert in groups of ten to twenty.
- Some files are missing from the zip. A file the browser cannot read as an image stops the batch with an error message. Open each original to check it is a valid image, remove the bad one and run again.
Privacy and limits
Because processing happens locally, very large files depend on your device's memory and may be slow on older phones. If a conversion fails, try a smaller file or a different browser. See our privacy policy for details on how the site handles data.
