What is Split PDF?
Split a PDF into individual pages and download a ZIP archive. It accepts PDF files and gives you a PDF result you can download straight away. The work happens in your browser tab, so the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers.
How to use Split PDF
- Choose the PDF you want to split.
- Click Convert now. Every page is saved as its own PDF file.
- Preview the result.
- Download the ZIP archive that contains all of the single-page PDFs.
Format notes
- PDF: A fixed-layout document format. Pages keep the same appearance on every device, which makes PDFs ideal for sharing and printing.
Tips for better results
Splitting is handy for sending only the relevant part of a long document and keeping private pages out of what you share.
A worked example
You want to send the invoice that is page 7 of a monthly statement. Split the PDF, open the zip, and attach just the file ending in page-7. Every page is saved as its own PDF.
If something goes wrong
- I only wanted a range of pages. Use Extract PDF Pages instead and enter a range such as 5-8.
- The zip is bigger than the original. Each single-page file carries its own copy of shared resources such as fonts, so the total can exceed the original size.
Privacy and limits
Because processing happens locally, very large files depend on your device's memory and may be slow on older phones. If a conversion fails, try a smaller file or a different browser. See our privacy policy for details on how the site handles data.
