What is Merge PDF?
Merge multiple PDF files into one organized document with instant browser-side output. It accepts PDF files and gives you a PDF result you can download straight away. The work happens in your browser tab, so the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers.
How to use Merge PDF
- Select two or more PDF files in the order you want them combined.
- Click Convert now to join them into one document.
- Check the preview.
- Download the merged PDF.
Format notes
- PDF: A fixed-layout document format. Pages keep the same appearance on every device, which makes PDFs ideal for sharing and printing.
Tips for better results
Check the order of your files before merging. If the PDFs are password protected, remove the protection first because encrypted files cannot be combined here.
A worked example
Combine a cover letter, a CV and a certificate into one application. Add the files in that order, convert, then check that the page count equals the sum of the parts. If one section is misplaced, fix it with the reorder tool.
If something goes wrong
- It says a file cannot be merged. The PDF may be password protected or damaged. Save an unlocked copy in a PDF viewer and use that.
- Bookmarks or form fields are gone. Document-level features may not survive merging. Test the result, or send the originals if they matter.
Privacy and limits
Because processing happens locally, very large files depend on your device's memory and may be slow on older phones. If a conversion fails, try a smaller file or a different browser. See our privacy policy for details on how the site handles data.
