What is Extract PDF Pages?
Extract selected page ranges from a PDF into a new document. It accepts PDF files and gives you a PDF result you can download straight away. The work happens in your browser tab, so the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers.
How to use Extract PDF Pages
- Choose the PDF that contains the pages you need.
- Enter the pages to keep, using commas and ranges, such as 1,3,5-7.
- Click Convert now to build a new PDF with only those pages, in the order you typed them.
- Download the extracted PDF.
Format notes
- PDF: A fixed-layout document format. Pages keep the same appearance on every device, which makes PDFs ideal for sharing and printing.
Tips for better results
Use the page numbers shown by your PDF viewer, which count from the first page of the file, not the numbers printed on the pages.
A worked example
To pull out chapter 2, which spans pages 12 to 19, enter 12-19. To keep everything except page 5 in a 10-page file, enter 1-4,6-10. Pages appear in the order you type them.
If something goes wrong
- I only got one page. The entry could not be read, so the tool used page 1. Use digits, commas and hyphens only.
- Pages are missing. Page numbers beyond the end of the file are ignored. Check the page count in your viewer.
Privacy and limits
Because processing happens locally, very large files depend on your device's memory and may be slow on older phones. If a conversion fails, try a smaller file or a different browser. See our privacy policy for details on how the site handles data.
